Dear all,
As per discussion and brainstorm sessions, we have decided that the
recent developments in the public health system are having negative impact on
nursing profession like BRMS/BRHC, Non involvement of nursing cadre itself in
Universal Health Coverage proposed structure- instead of this they have planned
to introduce B.Sc Public health. In India there are no any organization having
room/space for the representations of clinical nurses. Indian Nursing council
(INC), and act both are entirely concentrated on the nursing education, and we
know who is a game player and how INC have become a PUPPET. Trained Nurses
Association of India (TNAI), which is there since 1900+, it had a space for the
clinical nurses and they were the ones who formed the basement but when we
review the recent various positions, it’s very clear that, academicians have
over-dominated.
Each hospital as institutions, state and its district, blocks have their
organisations but unfortunate they are not connected with each other. Other
than these, there are some of the clinical nurses association in some pockets
of India, who achieved a great success but not disseminated.
Societal dynamics lead to the awareness and recent development of “Right”
based implementation strengthened the civil society and common man, hence health care as a RIGHT has gained an
importance, it’s evident by recent articles by “Armarya Sen” on healthcare
right in The Hindu news.
Considering above we planned for few strategies: one is to create a space
for the clinical nursing, especially clinical nurses incidents, their
achievements, and second coordination between various nursing and health,
women, civil organizations and third which is a long term goal to provide an
alternative health care system which is comprehensive, affordable and
accessible across the country and globe without any geographical differences
with nurse practioners.
To start with, here we wish clinical nurses, nursing students and leaders
to grab the opportunity to express their opinion, suggestion and write their
experience to make every individual as a healthy well being.
You can write
·
Your
experiences as being a nurse.
·
Anecdotal
or incident reports – during your clinical and community care.
·
Recent
developments or some issues raised by any organisation at any level.
·
Your
talents can be expressed in other forms like – paintings, designs and others.
·
Other
you can suggest us at given contacts.
Special feature
of this news letter
·
Decentralised
editor: Group of nurses across the country can form a group and can take a
responsibility to prepare the content and if they wish can also design the news
paper, but it will be coordinated at the centre.
·
It
has a space for global nurses to present their experiences (for example – if
someone has overseas experience, they can share and compare them)
·
Many
of them asked which is your organisation: Dear all its not an organization, but
it’s a thinking process, which forms
a platform to have a open critique (intellectual debate) but not to criticize
on each other. To match our goals we thought it as a Federation of Nursing
Associations in India (FINA). It’s not an organisation but a thinking
process....
