HEALTH BEAT by LMCN

A National Conference on Health Beat, In Search of Sustainable Quality Nursing care was organized by the department of Medical Surgical Nursing and Fundamentals of Nursing of Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, Mangalore at A.J. conference hall on 22nd January 2015.
Prof. Jaya Kuruvilla, Principal, P.D.  Hinduja College of Nursing, Mumbai was the chief guest and she highlighted the importance of quality nursing care.                                                                                                                                         Mr. Prashanth Shetty, Vice President, Laxmi Memorial Education Trust was presided over the session. Dr Larissa Martha Sams, Principal, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, addressed the gathering.
           
Mrs. Diana Lobo, Associate Professor, Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing, unveiled the theme.  Mrs. Shambhavi, Assistant Professor,  Laxmi Memorial College of Nursing ,welcomed the gathering. Vote of thanks was given by Mrs. Shalini Fernandes, Lecturer,  Laxmi Memorial college of nursing. The programme was compared by Ms. Shwetha Steffy, Assistant Lecturer and Mrs. Alphonse, Junior lecturer. Prof. Jaya Kuruvilla, Dr. S. Madhavi, Mr. Prashanth Nayak,  Prof. Bhasan C,    Dr. Sathyanarayana were the resource persons for the conference. Students and staff from various nursing colleges participated as delegates. Paper and Poster presentation were done by delegates and best paper and poster was awarded and Panel Discussion was held on  ‘Nurse as a Change Agent in Transition of Health Care Delivery’..
