AN INDEPENDENCE MESSAGE by A NURSE

Loading that injection , into the tray ,,i looked @ the clock..oh its already time up..i ran towards the patient with the tray..he was waiting for his turn..he was about to say something..but i couldnt wait..i asked him to turn ..angled ..injected ..and i was about run back to finish my next job..but he stopped holding my hand..sir..u r not soft as before..u r losing ur patience..sir pls be slow next time ..its paining badly..tears rolled out of his eyes..just knoding my head i came back..YES...HE SAID IT..I hav forgetten my profession ..its theory..practice..above all i hav forgot tht iam a NURSE..and iam dealing with humanlife..WHY THE CHANGE...YES I HAD THE ANSWER..24 patience..one staff ..and hundreds of responsibility..if this would be the responsibility of a general ward..thn just imagine casualty, icu.and other wards...if u assign this job to a well trained robot..it explodes in minutes..not for laugh..yes we hav forgot everything..the soft touch ..speech.. soft prick..love and care..not only me all nurses..its all because overstress and overfight..only because of LESS MAN POWER..wen private hospitals counts extra crores as thier income, thy hesitate to provide extra thousands and appoint nurses..the GOVT..the management all fail to put up the nominal PATIENT NURSE RATIO....every one fails to focus tht we r working on human life..today wen the nation celebrating 68th independence day..looking forward to build a stronger nation..i requests the nurses to fight for thier rights...as a normal citizen of INDIA iam requesting the govt and private sectors to fill the gaps...appoint nurses..doctors..so tht help us to fill.. power..kindness..perfection.and...love.in us ..such tht we can serve the nation better..HOPE FOR A BETTER TOMORROW ..STRONGER AND HEALTHY INDIA.........SUNIL KUMAR
