HYDERABAD: Twelve students from the Apollo School of Nursing were injured on Monday morning after a 19-year-old youth on a joyride lost control of his vehicle near Shaikpet and hit them.
Four of the wounded students are in a critical condition with head and ankle injuries.
The accused Srikanth, a Filmnagar resident, was arrested later in the day. He confessed taking his father's cab for a ride and did not notice the nurses, when he was speeding across a narrow arterial road, teeming with bikes and people.
The injured students were part of an 85-member group living at the Paramount colony students' hostel near the main Apollo Hospital.
